Liam O'Connor Architects and Planning Consultants is a growing practice with a core staff of 4, engaged on a variety of projects at different stages. We are committed to excellence at all levels from urban design and layout to high quality individual buildings and their detailing.

We are committed to enhancing the contexts of the locations which we build by sensitive layout and appropriate architecture. We have won planning permission for and built new buildings in important conservation areas and in the context of listed buildings.

We have developed good relations with the local authorities where we work, expending time on research, local consultation and public presentations when necessary.

Liam O 'Connor is a registered architect in the U.K. and a member of the Royal institute of British Architects. He co - organised the Vision of Europe exhibition in Italy in 1992. He has taught at the Prince of Wales's Institute of Architecture and has been an adjunct Professor at the University of Notre Dame Indiana & Rome. He was a member of the board of Governors at Sussex House School and was Special Advisor to the Secretary of State for the Environment on Architecture & Urban Design from 1994 to 1997.
